The 20 years of presence and contribution of UNESCO Larissa were celebrated at a beautiful event at the Grecotel Larissa Imperial hotel on December 14. An anniversary evening dedicated to UNESCO's actions and the diverse work it offers.

The President of UNESCO Larissa, Mrs. Theodora Calla stated: "Unesco Larissa has been going through two decades of contribution, social solidarity and dedication in the fields of culture, education, research, communication, information, science. And it will continue for many years to offer social work, solidarity, dedication and support."

During the event, distinguished personalities who have contributed to the sciences, arts, culture and literature were awarded, as well as distinguished guests who support the work of UNESCO.

Alfa Wood Group was also invited to the anniversary event for the support it offers to the organization. Mr. George Adamopoulos, Vice President and Managing Director of Alpha Wood Group, received the honorary plaque and pointed out that the leading Greek wood processing industry shows its social face and solidarity to all organizations, associations and bodies that need support.
