Apprenticeship School Event for the New Specialty “Industrial Automation Technician” in GREVENA
On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the event for the launch of the new Apprenticeship School with the specialty was successfully held. «"Industrial Automation Technician"», a joint initiative of Ministry of Labor and Social Security, of DYPA and her ALFA WOOD GROUP.
The event took place at the ALFA WOOD GROUP facilities in Grevena, in the presence of 25 prospective students, who had the opportunity to be guided through the factory's production area and to be informed in detail about the curriculum and the prospects offered by the new specialty.
The event was honored with the presence of Minister of Labor and Social Security, Ms. Niki Kerameus, who was given a tour of both the factory and the teaching areas of the new apprenticeship program, expressing her satisfaction with the cooperation between the public and private sectors, for the benefit of the vocational education and training of young people.
The event was welcomed by New Democracy Press Spokesperson, Ms. Alexandra Sdoukou, the New Democratic Party Member of Parliament for Grevena, Mr. Athanasios Stavropoulos, the Deputy Governor of Western Macedonia, Mr. Ioannis Tsaknakis, the Mayor of Grevena, Mr. Kyriakos Tataridis, the Director of DYPA, Ms. Yianna Hormova as well as representatives her Larissa DYPA and Grevena DYPA. Also present were executives of ALFA WOOD GROUP, representatives of local organizations, as well as employees who contributed substantially to the implementation of this important action, which strengthens local development and creates new opportunities for young people.
The event included greetings and speeches, followed by a catering and networking, giving attendees the opportunity to exchange views and discuss the prospects of the group's new educational initiative ALFA WOOD GROUP in collaboration with DYPA.
