Visit of the Department of Forest Protection Technicians of IEK Grevena to the facilities of group ALFA WOOD in Grevena
On Wednesday 23-03-2022 the forest protection technical department of the IEK Grevena visited the factory of ALFA WOOD GROUP at the facilities of Grevena. The students were given a tour of the production facilities and were informed about the ALFA WOOD GROUP products & production processes.
In addition, they had the opportunity to see up close the added value that can be obtained from the woody material produced by the Greek forests and the opportunities created through their rational management in order to produce competitive products that are available not only in the domestic but also in the world market .
The responsible teacher of the department, Ms. Irini Dana, in collaboration with the executives of the company, Mr. Apostolos Koumboura and Mr. Aleko Douna, took over the tour of the students, who had the opportunity to learn about the advantages of environmental protection, the recycling of wood residues , renewable energy sources, sustainable & sustainable forestry & the benefits of the circular economy in general.
